Creating a Web site? Maybe one of the most overlooked pages would be the “Error 404″ page … basically, the page that winds up on your screen when a link is broken or a page no longer exists. It seems like a pretty basic set-up … just a white page with some sort of “This page is not here” message, right?
Some companies are thinking outside the box, though, and coming up with creative designs (that may or may not be consistent with the rest of the Web site) for their 404 pages.
These links below contain some of our favorites:
- Smashing Magazine, 404 error pages
- Fresh Pics, Most Creative 404 Error Pages Ever
- Skidzopedia, 14 Most Popular “Sorry” Pages
(Please note that clicking on any of the above links will open a new window. O’Neill Communications is not responsible for any of the content on outside Web pages.)
Feel free to get inspired! Have a great weekend, and we’ll see you right back here next week.
