As Assistant Creative Director, Chantelle Catania brings creative ideas to the table that provide both practical and innovative solutions to marketing challenges. A 2001 graduate of Ferris State University in Michigan, Chantelle has been with O’Neill Communications for eight years. During that time, she has participated in key design initiatives for several clients from brand identity programs to major positioning campaigns. Chantelle is also part of our award-winning publications group, responsible for developing fresh and vibrant periodicals for our association clients. In her spare time, Chantelle is an avid tennis player with the ultimate goal of achieving “A” player status in the ultra-competitive Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association. Thus far, she has three second-place City Final trophies and claims to have been robbed each time.

Carmel Hearn brings over 32 years of marketing communications experience to our clients, with particular expertise in television production. Her keen eye for detail is often the difference in turning a good marketing plan into a spectacular one, and she is always looking for innovative ways to generate additional marketing exposure for her clients. Carmel, a graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University, has written and produced several video projects, including a national award-winning educational video for the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants. When she’s not winning awards for her work, including being nominated for a Southern Regional Emmy Award, Carmel is an actress at heart, having appeared in over 25 local stage productions. Her most memorable role was as Maggie the Cat in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

Claire has over 12 years of comprehensive marketing experience in the manufacturing, service and software industries. In 2005, she returned to graduate school at the College of Charleston and earned her Master’s degree in English literature in 2007. While pursuing her advanced degree, she began freelance writing at Sol Design Company, an interactive marketing agency in Atlanta. She worked on large-scale rebranding and web development projects to ensure that strategic corporate messaging was reflected in all communication mediums. Claire has a B.A. in English and a B.A. in Biology from the College of Charleston. She loves reading, writing, cooking and flapping her gums. She is a 3rd generation Atlanta native and lives in Decatur with her 3 year-old daughter, Ruby.

Combine a vivacious personality with a hint of Southern charm, and you have Kim Shapland. After joining the firm in 2008, Kim has played a pivotal role in streamlining agency operations and assuring that client needs are effectively and efficiently met. Kim also provides support to all account management teams as well as interacting with outside vendors. A former real estate agent, Kim was Agent of the Year in 2006 for Morris & Raper Realtors. She is a proud “soccer mom,” and enjoys spending time with her family.
