City of Marietta, GA – Real Estate Development

The City of Marietta’s Economic Development Department needed marketing support to promote its new housing development being built around the historic Marietta Square.

Action
In addition to traditional advertising and marketing collaterals, O’Neill Communications developed a fresh, hip, retro-looking Web site complementing other marketing materials with original photography.  The comprehensive site includes an interactive map, links to the housing developments, a calendar system that allows the city to update event information, and a searchable database of new developments and content about why Marietta is a great place to live.

The resulting “Move to Marietta” campaign integrated a wide variety of marketing strategies including advertising, public relations, collateral materials, direct mail, and a robust Web site.

Results
The new Web site averaged almost 1,000 hits per month until late 2008, when the real estate market slowed considerably, and marketing efforts were scaled back.
