Cobb County Convention & Visitors Bureau – Tourism

The Cobb County Convention & Visitors Bureau was committed to making major improvements in its marketing strategies and collateral materials but lacked the internal talent and resources to develop three major projects:  a new Web site, a new planners guide, and a post 9/11 recovery program.

Action
O’Neill Communications designed and produced a new Web site to serve specific market segments; assimilated, organized, and verified all the data for a comprehensive planner’s guide and the Web site; and created and promoted the new “Freedom Package.”

Results
The Cobb CVB was named 2002 Bureau of the Year by the Southeast Tourism Society based on the three newly completed projects, which improved hotel occupancy and hospitality revenue.  The president of O’Neill Communications was selected to serve on the board for six years and as Chairman of the Board of Cobb County for three years, retiring in November 2006.
