Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities – Publications
Situation
The Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) recognized the need to upgrade its quarterly magazine, Making a Difference, which was printed in two-color, and lacked in-depth editorial content.
Action
O’Neill Communications completed a total makeover of the magazine, converting it to four-color, adding professional photography, developing and writing content, and managing editorial and ad sales. Additionally, O’Neill Communications continues to work closely with the GCDD staff to develop the editorial focus of each edition and ensure that the publication meets the needs of GCDD and its readership.
Result
Advertising revenue has increased and GCDD has a first-class publication it uses regularly to support its advocacy efforts with state legislators and local communities. The magazine has evolved as a valued resource in the disability community as well, and is also posted on the GCDD Web site.
