Wild Veggie – Video
Situation
Otsuka Foods needed to introduce Wild Veggie, a new vegetable product targeting health-conscious consumers, in the United States.
Action
O’Neill Communications conceived, wrote and produced a series of product videos for sales presentations at trade shows and to demonstrate product usage and versatility on the Wild Veggie Web site and in point-of-purchase DVD presentations. The firm contracted with Certified Executive Chef Michael Bologna to develop product recipes and appear on camera to introduce Wild Veggie to the food industry and demonstrate its nutritional value and versatility. The video series also features testimonials from consumers enjoying Wild Veggie at work, in school, and at home.
Results
Wild Veggie’s trade show marketing directly resulted in a test program at Whole Foods Market stores. Within 12 months of its initial trade show, Wild Veggie expanded distribution to natural food markets in California, as well as a growing number of fast-casual restaurants in Florida and Georgia.
